On August 29, 2015, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 16-year-old Cameron "Cam" Toles was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred at 721 Springville Road, where Toles and several other males had exited a vehicle. As they walked away, Toles was struck by a gunshot and was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.
