In the early hours of July 25, 2019, a devastating house fire erupted in Birmingham's Wylam community, tragically impacting the Wade family. Three-year-old LaCarter Anthony Wade, affectionately known as "Chop," was among those critically injured in the blaze. Despite the efforts of medical professionals at Children's Hospital of Alabama, LaCarter succumbed to his injuries on July 26, 2019.
