Officer Conley Taylor, a 40-year-old member of the Hackleburg Police Department in Alabama, tragically lost his life on June 29, 1964. The incident occurred after he conducted a vehicle stop, a routine procedure that turned deadly. The vehicle stop took place just one block off Hackleburg's main street, behind the home of one of the local residents.
