Death by Force

At approximately 1:15 p.m., officers from the East Precinct were dispatched to a ShotSpotter alert at 7701 5th Avenue North. They were subsequently informed that an individual had been shot inside a vehicle in the 500 Block of Oporto Madrid Boulevard North. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim lying unresponsive inside a van, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
