In the warm evening air of Saturday, June 11, 2011, in New Orleans, Louisiana, a promising young man's life was violently cut short. Marvin Douglas Watts, a 22-year-old male, was discovered shot to death inside his car near the intersection of Carrollton and Walmsley avenues. His death was one of four homicides that stained the city within a brutal 17-hour period, a grim testament to the violence gripping the community.
