In the early moments of January 17, 2011, a violent home invasion in New Orleans East shattered a family and left a community in mourning. Kenan Breaud, a 36-year-old African-American man, was at his home on Petit Bayou Lane with his fiancée, Felicia Hughes, and their five-year-old son.
