Details: Bounds broke into Timothy Ott's home, where Sandra had sought refuge after paging her ex-husband with a "911" emergency signal. Bounds fatally shot Sandra inside the house. Timothy fled to a neighbor's home seeking help, but Bounds followed and shot him there.
Final Standoff and Death
After the murders on December 23, 1999, Bounds fled and took refuge in a nearby neighborhood in Easley. He entered multiple homes, at one point holding two women hostage. As law enforcement closed in, Bounds took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.
