Anthony Guy Walker: A Detailed Account of His Crimes

Early Criminal Activities

Anthony Guy Walker, born on July 11, 1957, in Adrian, Michigan, embarked on a criminal career marked by violent sexual offenses. His first known murder occurred in 1975, targeting 24-year-old Arleen Salcedo. Her decomposing body was discovered on September 22, 1975, in a field two miles south of Blissfield, Michigan. Due to the body's condition, the cause of death couldn't be determined, and the case remained unsolved for an extended period. Later that year, Walker was arrested for kidnapping and raping a woman in Adrian. While the kidnapping charge was dropped, he pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal sexual conduct and received a prison sentence of a few years. He was paroled in early January 1979.

The 1979 Triple Murder

On January 15, 1979, shortly after his parole, Walker committed a brutal triple homicide in Adrian. Seeking a house to rob, he targeted the residence of 24-year-old Puerto Rican immigrant Yolanda Torres Madison, her 11-month-old daughter Jessica, and 19-year-old Theresa Carey, a friend visiting that night. Walker broke into the home, tied up, and beat both women before fatally shooting them. To cover his tracks, he set the house on fire, leading to Jessica's death from smoke inhalation. The crime shocked the local community, but due to insufficient evidence, the case went cold.

Subsequent Crimes

Walker continued his violent spree in 1979. On March 1, he was paid $2,000 by an unidentified individual to kill 28-year-old Floyd Beatty. Beatty's body was found the next morning near the back door of his home in Manchester, Michigan. Later that year, in September, Walker posed as an off-duty police officer and abducted three high school students in Adrian. He attempted to assault one of the girls but eventually released all three unharmed. He was arrested for this incident and convicted of assault, receiving a 10-to-15-year prison term as a habitual offender. ...Read More
