On a cold winter night in Adrian, Michigan, the life of 24-year-old Yolanda Torres Madison, a female of Puerto Rican descent, was tragically cut short. On January 15, 1979, a career criminal named Anthony Guy Walker broke into her home on West Maple Avenue with the intention of robbery. Inside, Yolanda was with her 10-month-old daughter, Jessica, and her 19-year-old friend, Theresa Carey.
