On February 24, 2023, Cathy Ann Maples, a 72-year-old resident of Adrian, Michigan, was shot and killed in her home. The incident occurred during a domestic dispute, and police were called to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Maples suffering from a gunshot wound.
