Theresa Carey, a 19-year-old resident of Adrian, Michigan, tragically lost her life on January 15, 1979. On that fateful day, Adrian firefighters discovered the bodies of Theresa Carey, Yolanda Madison, and Madison's 10-month-old daughter, Jessica, in a burning house on West Maple Avenue, directly across from the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department. The investigation revealed that the women had been tied, beaten, and shot to death before the house was set on fire, causing the baby to suffocate.
