Alberd Tersargyan: A Detailed Account of His Crimes
Background
Alberd Tersargyan, born in 1951 in the Armenian SSR, was a former soldier who emigrated to the United States around 2001, settling in Los Angeles' Little Armenia neighborhood. He worked at a cabinet-manufacturing plant and became acquainted with fellow Armenian immigrants, including the Safaryan family, with whom he developed a close relationship. Tersargyan reportedly became infatuated with Karine Hakobyan, the matriarch of the Safaryan family, leading to a series of tragic events.
Crimes
Tersargyan's obsession with Hakobyan and subsequent actions resulted in the murders of four individuals between 2008 and 2010 in Hollywood, California.

- Khachik Safaryan (43): Found shot in the head at his home on 1200 Tamarind Avenue.
- Lusine Safaryan (8): Daughter of Khachik and Karine, also found shot in the head at the same location.
- Late February 2010:
- Julie Kates: A prostitute shot in broad daylight on Sunset Boulevard near Kingsley Drive. Witnesses reported seeing a man in a dark gray van accusing her of theft prior to the shooting.
- March 26, 2010:
- Karine Hakobyan (38): Found shot in the head in her parked Honda CR-V at a parking lot near her apartment complex on 5800 Lexington Avenue.
