On January 15, 1979, a tragic triple homicide occurred in Adrian, Michigan, involving 10-month-old Jessica Madison, a female infant of Puerto Rican descent. Jessica was the daughter of 24-year-old Yolanda Torres Madison, also female and Puerto Rican, and was staying at her mother’s home on West Maple Avenue along with 19-year-old Theresa Carey, a female of unspecified ethnicity and a friend of Yolanda.
