March 20, 2016 — First Killing: Barber shot and killed Justin “Butch” Porter in Yazoo City. This earlier homicide became a crucial part of the state’s case when prosecutors later charged Barber in multiple killings. February 6, 2017 — Quadruple Homicide at Club 66: Around 1:00 a.m., following an argument at Club 66 (also known as the L & L Lounge) on 11th Street in Yazoo City, Barber opened fire, killing four men. He was arrested the same day by a U.S. Marshals task force.
