Police Officer Justin David Sollohub, aged 27, succumbed to a gunshot wound on August 25, 2011, resulting from an incident that occurred the previous day. On August 24, 2011, Officer Sollohub was involved in a foot pursuit while on duty. During this chase, which began around 11 a.m., he was shot by the suspect he was pursuing.
