In the early hours of June 5, 2024, just after 3:00 AM, officers and investigators from the Anniston Police Department responded to a call regarding a gunshot victim in the 1700 block of Electronics Drive. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a male victim, later identified as Jonathan Carter, 44, of Anniston, lying in his vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.
