In the spring of 2017, the life of 37-year-old Brandon Rodell McMassey was tragically cut short in Anniston, Alabama. On March 25, the African American man was fatally wounded in a shooting. The incident was officially ruled a homicide, marking another case of gun violence in the community. His funeral services were held on March 31, 2017, at the Anniston Funeral Service Chapel, and he was laid to rest at Eden Hills Cemetery.
