In the late summer of 2020, the life of 28-year-old Anton M. Johnson, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short in Anniston, Alabama. On the morning of August 16, 2020, an altercation near the intersection of 12th Street escalated to a fatal conclusion. It was there that Johnson was shot, and when officers from the Anniston Police Department arrived at the scene around 5:00 a.m., they found him deceased.
