Death by Force

On July 4, 2021, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Anniston police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Duncan Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Braylon Darnell Thomas lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. As of July 6, 2021, no arrests had been made, and police were actively seeking information from the public to aid in their investigation.
