On the evening of May 17, 2016, a shooting occurred in Anniston, Alabama, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Monquavis Hunter. The incident took place around 9 p.m. in the 2100 block of Christine Avenue. Two other individuals were injured during the shooting. The Calhoun County coroner identified Hunter as the fatality.
