On the evening of May 17, 2016, a tragic shooting incident occurred in Anniston, Alabama, resulting in the death of Monquavis Hunter, a 17-year-old African American male. The shooting took place in the 2100 block of Christine Avenue, where Monquavis Hunter was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals were injured during the incident and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The identities of the injured parties were not disclosed at the time.
