On April 14, 2018, 32-year-old Darion Montize Welch, known as "Shoe Maker," was discovered in the Anniston area with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Anniston Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Calhoun County Coroner, Pat Brown, confirmed Welch's death and indicated that his body was sent to Huntsville for an autopsy.

Welch's funeral service was held on April 21, 2018, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Anniston, with Rev. Carlton Phi ...Read More
