On August 18, 2021, 33-year-old Maurice M. McCauley was fatally shot in Anniston, Alabama. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Moore Avenue, where McCauley was spending time with family and friends when the shooting began. Upon arrival, Anniston police officers found McCauley lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
