On September 2, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers from the Anniston Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 1500 block of East 11th Street in Anniston, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old James Delaneley Johnson deceased inside the home.
