On June 1, 2021, 28-year-old Jerrell Marquez Edmonds was fatally shot in Anniston, Alabama. Officers from the Anniston Police Department responded to a call in the 2000 block of Woodland Avenue, where they discovered Edmonds suffering from gunshot wounds; he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
