On March 27, 2015, 21-year-old Johntavious Marquez "Hatch" Brown was shot near West 15th Street and Stephens Avenue in Anniston, Alabama. He was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he succumbed to his injuries on April 2, 2015.
In connection with the shooting, Anniston police arrested 18-year-old Dominiquic Isaiah Curry on March 30, 2015. He was charged with attempted murder. Subsequently, both Curry and Breonte Nicole Young were charged with murder.
