Jeremiah Nathaniel Woodard-Pegues, a 16-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on May 13, 2021, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred late at night on Allen Street in the Villa Heights neighborhood. Jeremiah was walking towards a corner store when he was approached by a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Tracey Witherspoon. Witherspoon, who was driving a stolen vehicle, fired multiple shots at Jeremiah, hitting him three times and causing his death at the scene.
