In the spring of 1922, a tragic and unexpected event unfolded within the ranks of the Anniston Police Department, forever marking April 26th as a day of loss. On this Wednesday, Police Officer Brice Hurst, a male officer, found his life cut short in a violent confrontation. The circumstances surrounding his death were not at the hands of a common criminal, but from a fellow officer, a man who wore the same badge.
