On the night of April 15, 2023, 19-year-old African American male Troy Anthony Hall was fatally shot while riding as a passenger in a vehicle in Anniston, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on McClellan Boulevard near Interstate 20. According to the Anniston Police Department, an unidentified assailant fired into the moving vehicle, striking both occupants.
