On July 3, 2019, Tavosiea D. Thomas, a 29-year-old African American male from Anniston, Alabama, was fatally shot. He succumbed to his injuries at the Regional Medical Center in Anniston. The incident was classified as a homicide by the Gun Violence Archive.
