In the fall of 2015, a dispute on an Anniston, Alabama street ended in the tragic death of 17-year-old Broderick Taylor Jr. The Black/African American male was fatally shot in the chest on the evening of October 30, 2015. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on West 15th Street, where an altercation between Taylor and 25-year-old Jerald Bailey had escalated. Witnesses stated that during the confrontation, Bailey produced a firearm and shot Taylor multiple times.
