In the early evening of May 31, 2023, tragedy struck the life of Jamar Gordon, a 51-year-old Black/African American man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At approximately 7:17 p.m., in the vicinity of Melvina Street and Howie Street, the sound of gunfire shattered the neighborhood's calm. When police arrived at the scene, they found that Gordon had sustained life-threatening injuries from at least one gunshot.
