On January 11, 2022, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Anniston Police Department officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim near the intersection of 13th Street and Christine Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 15-year-old Taevion Fife of Gadsden lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound. Fife was transported to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
