Early Life and Initial Conviction

Keith Gibson, born in 1982 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had a troubled upbringing marked by early exposure to crime. His criminal record began in his teenage years, leading to multiple arrests for offenses including weapons charges, forgery, assault, and drug dealing. In 2010, Gibson was convicted of manslaughter and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, stemming from the fatal shooting of Stanley Savon Jones on July 6, 2008, in Wilmington, Delaware. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Release and Parole Violations

Gibson was released from prison in June 2020 and placed under strict probation conditions, including prohibitions against leaving Delaware and carrying firearms. However, he violated his parole by traveling to Philadelphia in early 2021. Despite these violations and concerns about his violent tendencies, a judge sentenced him to 31 days in prison, which he had already served, leading to his release in April 2021.

Subsequent Crime Spree

Following his release, Gibson embarked on a violent crime spree across Delaware and Pennsylvania. His known victims include:

• Eric Flores and Roy Caban: On January 28, 2021, both men were found shot in the head at their store, Al Madinah Traders, in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood.
• Christine Gibson: On February 8, 2021, Gibson's mother was found shot to death at her workplace in Philadelphia. She had reportedly expressed fears that her son might harm her.
• Leslie Ruiz-Basilio: On May 15, 2021, Ruiz-Basilio was shot in the head during a robbery at a Metro PCS store in Elsmere, Delaware. Gibson stole her vehicle following the murder.
• Christine Lugo: On June 5, 2021, Lugo, a Dunkin' store manager, was robbed and fatally shot in the head as she opened the store in North Philadelphia. Surveillance footage captured the incident.
• Ronald Wright: On June 6, 2021, Wright was shot and killed during a street robbery in Wilmington, Delaware. Gibson was later found with Wright's shoulder bag.
