Alton Coleman, born on November 6, 1955, in Waukegan, Illinois, was an American serial killer who, along with his accomplice Debra Brown, committed a series of heinous crimes across six states in the Midwest during the summer of 1984. - Vernita Wheat: A 9-year-old girl from Kenosha, Wisconsin, abducted on May 29, 1984. Her body was found on June 19, 1984, in an abandoned building in Waukegan, Illinois.
- Tamika Turks: A 7-year-old girl from Gary, Indiana, abducted and murdered on June 18, 1984. Her body was discovered shortly after.
- Donna Williams: A 25-year-old woman from Gary, Indiana, abducted on June 19, 1984. Her body was found in an abandoned building in Detroit, Michigan, in July 1984.
- Virginia Temple: A woman from Toledo, Ohio, murdered on July 7, 1984, along with her 10-year-old daughter.
- Unnamed 15-year-old girl: Murdered in Ohio during the spree.
- Unnamed woman: Killed on July 13, 1984, in Ohio for her car, which Coleman and Brown used to flee to Kentucky.
Capture and Execution
