In the summer of 1984, a wave of terror gripped the Midwest as a deadly duo, Alton Coleman and Debra Brown, embarked on a violent crime spree that spanned six states. Their path of destruction led them to Toledo, Ohio, where they crossed paths with the Temple family. On July 5th, Coleman, known for his smooth-talking demeanor, befriended Virginia Temple, a mother of several children.
