Overview

Aaron Juan Saucedo, born on April 6, 1994, is an accused serial killer linked to a series of shootings in Phoenix, Arizona, between August 2015 and July 2016. Dubbed the "Serial Street Shooter," Saucedo is alleged to have committed nine murders and several other shootings during this period.

Background

Saucedo, a former city bus driver, was raised in Phoenix and attended North High School during his freshman and sophomore years. Before his arrest, he had no prior criminal record and lived with his mother. He held various jobs over the years, including working as a laborer for a home remodeling company and as a city bus driver. His only previous contact with the court system was a 2016 red-light traffic violation while driving a bus in Maryvale.

• August 16, 2015: Raul Romero, 61, was fatally shot. Saucedo knew Romero through his mother.
• January 1, 2016: Jesse Olivas, 22, was shot and killed while standing in front of a home.
• April 1, 2016: Diego Verdugo-Sanchez, 21, was fatally shot while visiting his pregnant fiancée's family.
• April 19, 2016: Krystal White, 55, was found deceased from gunshot wounds.
• June 3, 2016: Horacio Peña, 32, was shot and killed returning home from work.
• June 10, 2016: Manuel Castro Garcia, 19, was fatally shot outside a restaurant.
• June 12, 2016: Stefanie Ellis, 33, her daughter Maleah Ellis, 12, and friend Angela Linner, 31, were shot and killed while sitting in a parked car.
