Edward George McGregor, born on March 29, 1973, is an American serial killer who terrorized the Greater Houston area between 1990 and 2006. A former UPS delivery driver, McGregor was implicated in the rapes and murders of four women, with his crimes coming to light through DNA evidence.   • Details: At approximately 11:45 p.m., 38-year-old Kim Wildman made a frantic 911 call, reporting that she had been stabbed multiple times in her home. The call abruptly ended. Responding officers forced entry into her residence and discovered her nude body on the kitchen floor. Despite investigating neighbors, including 17-year-old Edward McGregor who lived two houses down, the case went cold due to lack of evidence. A singular DNA sample was collected but remained unlinked for years.

  • Date: May 25, 1994
  • Location: Houston, Texas
  • Details: Neighbors noticed Barnum's apartment door slightly ajar around 2:20 a.m. Upon entering with apartment management, they found the 23-year-old's body in the bathroom. An autopsy revealed she had been strangled with a belt. Investigators believed she was attacked upon returning home from work, with the perpetrator possibly following her. The case remained unsolved for a decade until Barnum's mother urged a re-investigation in 2004.

  • Details: After dropping off her two children at daycare, 28-year-old Subjects returned to her apartment. Her roommates discovered her body around 1 p.m. An autopsy indicated she was killed around 10:30 a.m., sexually assaulted, and valuables were taken from her residence.

  • Date: February 4, 2006
  • Location: Houston, Texas
  • Details: Friends visiting 25-year-old Rubin found her apartment door unlocked around 11:50 a.m. Security personnel entered and discovered her body posed in the bathtub. There were no signs of forced entry, but evidence suggested a struggle, and she had been sexually assaulted.

Investigation and Arrest

McGregor's connection to these crimes was established through DNA evidence. In May 2006, he was arrested for the 1990 murder of Kim Wildman after DNA matched samples collected at the scene.
