Ramon Torres Hernandez: A Detailed Account of His Crimes
Background
Ramon Torres Hernandez (November 8, 1971 – November 14, 2012) was an American serial killer, kidnapper, and rapist responsible for at least three murders in Bexar County, Texas, between 1994 and 2001. He was also a prime suspect in two other cases. Prior to these crimes, Hernandez had served an 18-year sentence for burglary during which he raped a woman. He was paroled on June 11, 1993.

- Age: 37
- Date of Abduction: March 31, 2001
- Date of Body Discovery: April 5, 2001
- Location: Near the University of Texas-San Antonio campus, Bexar County, Texas
- Details: Rosa was abducted from a bus stop by Hernandez, his girlfriend Asel Abdygapparova, and his friend Santos Minjares. She was taken to a motel, raped, and later killed. Her body was buried in a shallow grave.
Investigation and Apprehension
Following the murder of Rosa Maria Rosado, Abdygapparova contacted the police and provided information leading to the discovery of Rosado's body. Investigators linked Hernandez to the crime through evidence, including a shovel purchased by Abdygapparova at his behest. He was arrested on April 4, 2001. DNA evidence later connected Hernandez to the 1994 murders of Gonzales and Almares.
