Early Life and Background

Tracy Walker was born in 1964 in Mississippi. He grew up in an impoverished household with his mother and seven half-brothers. Due to financial constraints, Walker dropped out of school in the late 1970s and began working various manual labor jobs. First Known Crime: 1991 Voluntary Manslaughter

On December 7, 1991, while working as a security guard at a bus depot on 77th Street in Los Angeles, Walker got into a dispute with a fellow guard. The altercation escalated, resulting in Walker shooting and killing the 34-year-old man. Witnesses reported that Walker attempted to flee in a school bus but was apprehended by police after a brief chase. During his arrest, he was shot multiple times but survived. In 1993, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
