Death by Force

Daveon C. Cooksey, aged 25, was fatally shot on July 20, 2017, in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. near the intersection of 28th and Walrond. Upon arrival, officers from the Kansas City Police Department found Cooksey inside a vehicle parked at the southwest corner of the intersection. He had sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds, and despite efforts by EMS, he was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:21 p.m.
