- Details: Ronnie Bingham, 46, owned the Corral Club in Nashville. On October 17, 1993, a passerby noticed smoke emanating from the club and alerted authorities. Inside, firefighters discovered Bingham's charred body seated on a chair, with a gas can nearby, indicating arson. An autopsy revealed he had been shot at close range with a .38-caliber handgun on the left side of his neck. Investigators found Steeples' business card at the scene, linking him to the crime.

- Date: March 7, 1994
- Location: Stagecoach Lounge, Nashville, Tennessee
- Details: Newlyweds Robert (24) and Kelli Phillips (28) had recently moved to Nashville, aspiring to make their mark in the music industry. On March 7, 1994, they attended an open-mic night at the Stagecoach Lounge. The following day, their bodies were found bludgeoned to death in a motel room. Kelli had also been sexually assaulted and had ligature marks on her wrists. Witnesses recalled seeing a middle-aged man, matching Steeples' description, interacting with the couple the previous night.
