Overview
Ricky Javon Gray was an American mass murderer responsible for one of the most horrific crimes in Richmond, Virginia. His killing spree in January 2006 left seven people dead, including children, in two separate households. Gray, along with accomplice Ray Joseph Dandridge, terrorized families in brutal home invasions. The murders shocked the community for their cruelty and complete disregard for human life. Gray was executed by lethal injection on January 18, 2017.The Harvey Family Murders
On January 1, 2006, Ricky Gray and Ray Dandridge invaded the South Richmond home of the Harvey family, a well-known and loved family in the community. The Harveys were preparing to host a New Year’s Day party when the killers attacked. They were held captive, tied up, and then brutally murdered before their house was set on fire in an attempt to cover up the crimes.- Bryan Harvey, 49 – Indie musician and father

The Baskerville-Tucker Murders
Less than a week later, on January 6, 2006, Gray and Dandridge struck again. This time, they targeted the home of Ashley Baskerville’s family in Richmond. Ashley was known to the killers and had been involved with them before.
