In the autumn of 2014, the life of 25-year-old Tyerre Allen, a Black male from Indianapolis, Indiana, came to a sudden and violent end. On November 18th, events unfolded inside a Cash America Pawn shop on East 38th Street that would leave Allen dead and another man grappling with the aftermath of a life-or-death confrontation. Shortly after entering the establishment, Allen reportedly brandished a weapon, signaling the beginning of an attempted robbery.
