In the winter of 2024, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence on the near west side of Indianapolis. On the evening of January 25th, police were called to a residence in the 1000 block of North Tremont Street, near the intersection of 10th Street and North Belmont Avenue, following a report of a person shot. Inside the home, officers discovered 21-year-old Tavion L. Taylor suffering from gunshot wounds.
