On January 25, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the near west side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Tavion L. Taylor. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 1000 block of North Tremont Street just after 7:30 p.m..
