In the early hours of May 6, 2023, Darian Jamar Wiley, a 27-year-old male, was fatally shot in the Kennedy-King neighborhood of Indianapolis, near the intersection of East 21st and Ruckle streets. He was in the company of his friend, 24-year-old Olivia Katherine Brown, who also lost her life in the violent encounter. The two had just returned from dinner when they were targeted in what investigators believe was a botched robbery.
