On September 3, 2016, a violent incident occurred on the northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana, claiming the life of 44-year-old Gary S. Rees Jr. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where they discovered Rees lying on the ground next to his motorcycle. He had sustained at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the location by medical personnel.
