David Lamont Lowery Jr., a 16-year-old from Indianapolis, Indiana, tragically lost his life on June 7, 2020. David, affectionately known as "Doodles," was shot and killed on the near northwest side of Indianapolis. His death was part of a troubling increase in homicides in the city that year, with at least 90 people killed by mid-2020, including several young individuals.
