In the early morning hours of February 18, 2024, the life of 26-year-old Bryant Keith Melton Jr. was tragically cut short in a shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis. A Black male, Melton was discovered by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers around 5:40 a.m. in the driver's seat of a car parked in the 5700 block of Little Creek Drive, within the Aspen Chase Apartments complex near West 56th Street and Moller Road.
