In the early morning hours of March 2, 2018, a violent incident unfolded in a residential neighborhood on the near west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Joshua Tye, a 21-year-old White male known to friends and family as "TyeBoy" or "Bubba," was found suffering from a fatal gunshot wound inside a home on the 800 block of Birch Avenue. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the scene around 5:49 a.m. following reports of a person shot.
