On March 17, 2024, 19-year-old Devin Lamont Scanlon was fatally shot in a residential area on the northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana. The incident occurred in the 2400 block of Hillside Avenue, where Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were dispatched around 4 p.m. in response to reports of shots fired.
